After he left Washington D.C. for the final time as president and skipped Joe Biden’s inaugural,  Donald Trump pledged that he would “be back” and said he hoped it would not be a “long goodbye”. 

Mr. Trump said in his farewell speech Wednesday to a group of supporters, administration officials, and family members:   “I wish the new administration great luck and great success​.​ Goodbye. We love you. We will be back in some form​”. 

For now, he is gone to his post-presidential home at Mar-a-Lago, his resort in Palm Beach, Florida. 

Based on reports, Trump started thinking of staging another presidential run in 2024 soon after he lost the 2020 presidential election to Biden.

The first one-term president since George H.W. Bush, Trump alluded to running for office at a White House holiday party in December when he was still arguing the election results showing that Biden was the winner.

"It has been a wonderful four years," Donald Trump announced a crowd of Republican National Committee members. “We're trying to do four more years. If not, I will see you again in four years."

Trump has laid the foundation for a re-emergence on the national stage with the creation of a leadership PAC named "Save America," which he could use as a war chest to donate to Republican candidates to continue his influence on the party.

He also went on to donate to his campaign fund, raising more than $ 200 million since Election Day.

However, he would face a number of Republican contenders in four years such as Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.

Former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, who worked as Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations and has powerful support among the DC Republican circles, could also carry out a campaign. 

But a survey published in November immediately after the election shows Trump possibly win the nomination by 2024.

According to a Politico and Morning Consult poll, Trump has 53 percent support ​for a White House run, compared to 12 percent for Vice President Mike Pence, and 8 percent for his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.

Donald Trump set to declare he is ready to run in 2024 US election

A Republican voter poll released over the weekend found nearly 46% of respondents would leave the Republican party and support the new party formed by the former president.

Trump leaving the Oval Office in January doesn’t mean he will leave it forever. Instead, rumors are already spreading that he’ll strive for another run for the presidency in 2024.

Former US President Donald Trump will make his first post-presidential appearance at a conservative gathering in Florida next weekend and in it, he is supposed to signal that he remains a "hypothetical candidate for five. 2024 ”by GOP.

Ian Walters, a spokesperson for the US Conservative Coalition, affirmed that Mr. Trump will speak at the group's annual Conservative Political Action (CPAC) Conference on February 28.

Mr. Trump is expected to use the speech to talk about the Republican future and also to criticize President Joe Biden's attempt to repeal his own tough immigration policies, according to one source.  According to the American news site Axios, this event will signal that he is likely to run in 2024.

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, who voted in favor of impeaching former President Donald Trump in his second impeachment trial, said on Tuesday that Trump will likely beat the GOP arena if he makes a decision to run in the 2024 presidential election.

A Suffolk University-USA Today survey discovered that 85 percent would vote for the 45th president if he ran again for the presidency in 2024. Besides, 80 percent declared they would not vote for any Republican who had supported his impeachment in the House.

• He falsely blamed Trump for disbanding the entire NSC team in charge of pandemic responses.

• Joe Biden couldn’t even make it through “The Tonight Show” without making obvious mistakes: He didn't remember what the Defense Production Act was called no less than 30 seconds after citing it.

• Biden remains stuck with more middle-of-the-road incrementalist policy proposals like infrastructure investments and low-income tax credits. 

Another example is that Biden doesn't read newspapers or watch television news. In late January, when President Trump announced restrictions on traveling with China, Biden criticized President Trump for "xenophobia". In other words, Biden was against the Chinese travel ban before he did it. It was just one of many other Biden's messy shots that made him appear like a fish out of the water, following the leftist that is controlling his party to get the nomination.
